meet the collective

Hi, we’re Ken and Jerry—kind of like the ice cream guys, but way cooler. The Celluloid Collective was just an idea we kicked around for years, always talking about how we could start a film community with one simple mission: to preserve and celebrate the artistry of film in every form—be it still photography, motion picture photography, or the magic of the darkroom!

Our number one goal? Make film as a medium affordable and accessible. We want to demystify the stereotypes about shooting film—you know, the “it’s expensive”, “it’s hard”, ”its not accessible anymore” blah blah blah. We knew that shooting on film didn’t have to break the bank, and if we wanted to make that happen, we had to do it ourselves. We’re here to bring film stocks back from the dead and educate new an experienced film lovers in a multitude of ways to get more people shooting on film! We think we have something for everyone, and if we don’t let us know, we will do our best to bring it to you.
